Louise Currie
Louise joined the Community Action staff team (for the second time!) on 27 November 2006, in the new role of Community Initiatives Officer.
Louise's working background was initially in Mental Health, then in Community Development. She has worked in Northumberland since 1987 for organisations such as CAN, the Local Authority and the County Council - primarily in Community Development posts, in both the urban and rural areas of the county. Most recently, she has been employed by Northumberland Strategic Partnership.
Louise lives in Morpeth and has three children. She enjoys an active social life, loves cooking and is a keen runner, having completed 9 Great North Runs, though the last year has been taken up with building work and re-decoration of her home, which has left little time (and money!) for much else.
She is enjoying the challenges in this new post, which involves working intensely with community buidling committees and parish councils, and has recently encompassed taking on the editorship of Community Action News.
