Sue Andrew

Sue joined the administration team at Tower Buildings in February 2005 and is quite often the voice at the other end of the phone in the General Office, where she enjoys the variety of tasks and the challenges of working on the CAN website, the VCS database and Community Action News.

She has gained a variety of experience through a diverse work-background in posts ranging from employment, personnel, stock control and photography, to reporting for the local newspaper.   Her more recent situations were in Community Education finance and Area Youth Work in Aberdeenshire, and in Property Maintenance.

Sue has also worked for many years in a variety of voluntary posts, including designing, building and painting theatre sets for Aberdeen Opera Company, editing and compiling a local news magazine, as a member of a gala team and 12 years as  member and secretary of a Community Council in Scotland, before returning to her native Northumberland.  Subsequently, she is aware of the frustrations that face local groups in the aims of enhancing their communities.

Her two daughters both live and work in Aberdeen, with Sue and her husband visiting them and their new grandson as often as possible but she also enjoys spending quality time with her step-daughter and grand-daughter, who live nearby.  Other interests include computing, travel, digital photography, reading and theatre
