Commercial and Statutory Organisations
Community Action Northumberland is able to offer a range of services to Commercial and Statutory Organisations who wish to establish a close relationship with rural communities.
We have strong links with key community organisations such as Parish Councils and community buildings, and have many years experience of carrying out community consultations, developing community projects and managing small local grants funds.
In recent years we have:
- been commissioned to promote a range of local initiatives and funds to ensure a wide reach into the rural areas working with partners such as British Gas, NEA, Northern Gas Networks, The People’s Health Trust and Warm up North.
- carried out consultation exercises with regard to setting up Community Funds for new wind farm developments on behalf of the Community Foundation of Tyne and Wear and EDF, Northumberland, Infinis and Vattenfall energy companies.
- managed small grants scheme including the Wingates Wind Farm Community Fund, Devolved small grants schemes through previous rounds of LEADER, The Northumberland Parish Plans Fund on behalf of DEFRA, and the Community Aggregates (COMMA) fund within Northumberland.
Ifyou would like to work with an independent neutral partner, to develop links with local communities and would like to discuss how we can help, please contact our Chief Executive, Andy Dean on 01670 517178 or through the email form on our contact us page.
