You are invited to the Spring Conference of Community Action Northumberland on Wednesday 11 May 2011 at Ponteland Memorial Hall, NE20 9NX. Tea and coffee are available from 1.30pm. The meeting will begin at 2.00pm. Further light refreshments, including home-made cakes, will be available at the end of the meeting.
The Spring Conference will be chaired by our President, the Duke of Northumberland. The main business will be in two parts. First will be a presentation from George Scott (Chairman of CAN’s Executive Committee) of current issues and news within CAN and preliminary discussion about our proposed legal structure. Download Paper. This will be followed by the main theme of the afternoon - Community-Led Planning, with presentations from David Francis and several speakers on past achievements and new opportunities.
Our Spring Conference is open to anyone with an interest in our work and in the theme under discussion. Admission is free of charge, and there are no charges for refreshments. However, to help us to cater for the right number of participants, it will be very helpful if you could complete and return the Booking Form by Monday 9 May 2011.
