Funding for youth projects in Northumberland

22nd May 2017

The Community Foundation welcomes applications to the Wellesley Trust Community First Fund from youth projects based and working in Northumberland.

Grants will be made between £250 and £10,000, and applicants must be able to demonstrate how their projects will make a difference to the lives of young people while meeting wider Community Foundation aspirations of supporting people to overcome disadvantage, creating stronger communities and making our area a good place to live.

Projects previously supported by the fund include general youth provision, uniformed groups activity, specialist skills and employability support, and work with specific groups of young people (e.g. disabled young people, or those with mental health problems). Both revenue and capital projects can be considered.

Applicants who received Wellesley grants for 12-month projects in summer 2016 are welcome to apply for continuation funding. Their application should include details of the progress they’ve made against the grant objectives agreed with us when we made the grant.

Organisations who received grants from the Wellesley Trust Fund in early 2017 should not apply.

Applications can be made here www.communityfoundation.org.uk/apply. The deadline is 9am on Monday 12 June 2017.
