Event: Preparing your Village Hall for use in emergencies

Is your Village Hall set up to be used in an emergency such as storms/power cuts?

Come to this online briefing session to find out how to get ready and what funding opportunities exist to support being an emergency centre.

Thursday 1st February - 10.30-11.30am

Online (you'll be sent a link to Zoom on booking)

The event will help you understand the difference between Community Resilience Hubs and Reception Rest Centres, who runs them (Council, emergency services and/or volunteers) and how to become one.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and find out about renewables, generators and funding that can help your hall prepare for emergency weather flood/storm or heatwave.

Speakers include:

  • Nigel Fisher – Civil Contingencies Officer NCC
  • Andy Dean – CAN Chief Executive
  • Christine Nicholls – CAN Lead in Energy Equality
